Ari Jaaksi is a Finnish creative whose life has been shaped by a multitude of pursuits and passions. With a Ph.D. in Software Engineering and an MSc in Education, he has had a distinguished international career as a high-ranking executive at companies like Intel, Hewlett-Packard, and Nokia. Simultaneously, he has nurtured his academic interests by holding two professorships and serving as an investor and board member for several early-stage companies.
In recent years, Ari has found a new creative outlet in photography. Working primarily with analog black-and-white film, he has won international accolades, his work has been featured in international exhibitions, and he has held well-received solo exhibitions. For Ari, the process of creating is as vital as the final outcome, imbuing each photograph with a sense of intentionality and purpose.
Through his multifaceted life and diverse pursuits, Ari exemplifies the idea that societal expectations or predefined paths need not constrain one’s passions. Instead, it is the willingness to embrace new experiences and perspectives that allows for a truly fulfilling and enriching journey.
